Ever since I got my 1980 truck, the pressure sits at ~1/3 gauge after warmup. According to the marks, this is under 30 psi, closer to 15 or 20 I think. It never fluctuates after that. Seems low. I have a new pump on the shelf and I wonder if that would help. Thoughts?

I am guessing you have the factory gauge? If so, have you tried a different sender?

I would install a mechanical oil pressure gauge to see what pressure you actually have.

Yep, my gauge cluster showed 10 to 20 psi in my old slant; I changed the sender, and there was no change. When I installed a mechanical gauge (Autogage) showed 30 to 50 psi (which was a relief!). I used a brass tee, and have both gauges connected (had to add a small brass nipple due to clearance problems...)

Using the stock gauge. I will verify the 'real' pressure. Thanks
