1 is good, is 2 better? Didn't get too far driving today....... Started car, started driving, get to 1st stop sign, car dies. Starts right back up, start going, dies........ Won't idle. Managed to go around block by starting, revving, push drive button, coast........repeat. Anyway, I'm cleaning out the carb now. Here's the question...... Currently I'm using 1 of those thick carb gaskets (it's a BBS). I have another. So, any benefit to using 2 of the thick carb gaskets? |

If some is good,,,more is better. If lots is good ....too much is just right. (!st Law of Carburation) |

No, two carb gaskets are not better than one. |

So 2 of them won't act like a carb spacer and give me some more power..... ( 1 hamster worth) |

Carb gaskets are designed to seal the gap between relatively hard surfaces - carb base and manifold, usually. They aren't designed to seal against other gaskets. If you need a spacer, sandwich a spacer between gaskets. Carb - gasket - spacer - gasket - manifold. |

Yeah, if you want more space between carb and manifold, make a spacer and use your 2 gaskets that way, one between spacer and manifold, one between spacer and carb. Besides, it's fun to make stuff, right? brian |
