Mopar Muscle, December 2019. Making Slant Six Sense: Part 3.
They port and shave the head. The porting job looks great. Lot of time and money to bring compression 'up to' 8.2:1 (and ported with stock valves). Still, an interesting read.

This must be a continuance of an article they started and never finished, about a year ago. The above must be a misprint, as the stock compression is rated at 8.2:1.

Changing "to" to "from" would make more sense?

Compression was measured at 7.2:1 before any work was done.
You need to read the article.
Jus sayin.....

Manufacturing tolerances were pretty loose on Slants. You were lucky if you got one that had 8:1.

I thought it was well written, good pictures and good details of the work performed.

In the classic words of Mike Jeffrey, "put a spark plug in the hole and try it again".

Perhaps I'm alone, but I get the impression that pre-planning was non-existent. They punt the entire field.

Got the issue a week or so ago, and wondered why I couldn't recall the first two installments of a 225 performance rebuild. So the first two installments were from a year ago? I just started getting the magazine, this makes the third issue received, Mrs wjajr purchased it and others from the grand kids school fund raiser. Interesting stuff, including Mark Worman's diatribe.
