Have an 1980 225. Car has 52K original miles. I changed out the ignition module because the epoxy sealant had melted over the years. Replaced it with NAPA unit. !st one lasted 10 starts the next 25. Use the original to get it started. Any insight or is this just the result of using parts that have been on the shelf too long |

Just a guess; probably on the boat too long steaming east on Earths largest body of water.
