I am adding power windows to my truck.

To make a really long story short, I measured once and didn't think and unbolted the window regulator while the window was still in.

I caught the window before it could shatter, but it completely came off the regulator guides.

I have managed to get the top guide into its track, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the lower guides onto the tracks that are attached to the window.

I look at the service manual and it just says to lower the window in and attach the guides.

Is there some trick that I am missing. Some sort of weird voodoo chant I have to say.

Any advice would be great

Thanks

Found a solution on another site.

I could replicate my mistake and try to wrangle things back together or...

loosen the wing window and partially remove. This will allow me to move the window towards the hinge side and get the bottom two wheel in their tracks.

Going to try it tonight. Hope it works

Well this project just got more interesting.

While removing the vent window track I discovered that the l-bracket that the vent frame mounts to is busted.

So now I need to get that fixed first before I can reassemble the window.

And I have to wait for all the new window felts and parts to arrive.
