Post subject: | ? about H2O pulley |
Hello all, I'm new to the /6 world, and I'm in the process of trying to get my 63 Dart back on the road after 20+ years of sitting in Cally. My question for Dan or anyone on the site is, what size/style bolt was used to hold the water pump pulley on these motors. I have the pulley but no bolts for it. Any assistance with this is greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance for the help, I'm sure I'll have many more questions that are obvious to all of you who have built these cool engines before. |

The thread size going into the water pump's flange is 5/16 - 18 unc. Bolt length depends on the fan spacer thickness used. ( send me a PM if you need the the fan, spacer & bolts for a 63 Dart) Note: the water pump pulley goes on first, sitting directly on the water pump flange, then the fan spacer & then the fan. For vehicles with an electric fan (or no fan) you can bolt the pulley directly to the water pump using the same bolts as used to fasten to oil pan to the engine. DD |
