Hey all I have a 75 Swinger that I am wanting to put a NOS Carter BBS I picked up. It's for later model Dodge trucks (#7044S) Here is a pic http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/ ... g/$_57.JPG I want to get an electric choke conversion kit from Carbsonly.com but Carlos was not able to help me until I get some pics to him. I have the #1234 kit that went to my Holley 1945 (which has been nothing but problems from the word go) but Slantsixdan said that the push-arm points the other direction. Carlos seems to think that the #1231 or the #1232 might work. Has anyone tried to hook up one of the electric choke kits to this model BBS before? Any advice in general? Many thanks |

Now that I think of it, that choke arm end issue may apply only to the original choke thermostats, not the electric one -- the 1234 might well hook right up, and it does have the built-in throttle spring bracket. Give it a try. If not, you'd need the 1231 (and re-use your original throttle spring bracket) -- I have one of these, new in bag, that I will advertise for sale if you don't want it. You won't get very far asking the CarbsOnly people about it. They know how to sell parts...they are not slant-6 experts. The 1232 will not come even slightly close to working. |
