Hey guys! Long time anonymous creeper, first time poster.
I've got a 72 duster, and I want to swap out the bench seats with buckets. Now, I'm sure this question is asked a million times, but I can't find any posts. Are most of the a body seats interchangeable, or does having a bench pose some other fabrication work?
Thanks in advanced. I'm excited to learn and hopefully help, if it's available in my knowledge base!

We have 74,75,76 Darts, Scamp & Sport. I think the floor pans are shaped for either bench or OEM A-body buckets, though they may not be drilled for the bolts. We found that if you try to put seats from any other cars in our A-bodies, the critical dimension is seat height, or how close your head ends up being to the roof. It's all trial & error, and custom fabrication. Serious note: if you put seats in that the seat belts are attached to the seats, some serious engineering should be done for safety in a crash. I don't feel comfortable using that kind of seat /seat belt, as I'll stick to the A-body OEM seat belt system. There have been other posts on this subject, but I am not good at finding them.

Thanks! That's more information than I've gotten by googling for days.
Sorry to hear about Louise. I'm sure she was a fine lady.

Welcome! Yes, unless it was a bucket seat car to start, you will have to weld/bolt braces in on the inboard side and fab some holes/mounts to put buckets in. I have aftermarket buckets in 2 of my cars w/custom mounts and Sebring convertible seats with integral shoulder belts, which involved making custom heavy duty mounts and 7-8 hold-down bolts per seat.
