Post subject:  No spark

Thursday I went to start the Duster to go to work and no go. Friday I did a quick check and got no spark from #1 plug wire. Today I started with the coil no spark, I have a extra working coil and no spark, I then changed the EIC and still no spark, I then changed the ballest res. and NO SPARK. Any ideas would be helpful thank you.

Use a test light with the key on, and see if you are getting power at the ballast resistor and coil...

Next will be to check the distributor clean out the gunk and see if the gap has moved... or the pickup is toast (or the wire leads to the pickup...)

Well I must have a bad wire some where. I was again testing various parts and connections with my test light and wiggling some wires and decided to crank it over with a remote and ing. on to see if coil sparked (wire disconnected from cap) and it did. The engine is now running but what problem is and if it happens again I hopefully won't find out when not at home. I think it's a bad wire some where I'll just have to wait until it happens again and do a 1 wire at a time wiggle try to start until I find the bad one. DusterIdiot thanks for the reply.
