1980's dodge ram 150 slant six want to cut those wires going 2the air cleaner. the vac tub has never been connected since weve own truck have historic tags no exhaust inspection http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l341 ... wxdpzj.jpg |

Fewer issues with gently unplugging..... ........even fewer if you read the Lean Burn Delete information available. |

At what point in the harness are you going to cut them? If you unwrap the loom and carefully trace the wiring for the lean burn components you will discover that, ultimately, the entire lean-burn system is a stand alone wiring harness that is welded into the ground and (+) feed splices for the rest of the harness. Two snips and some rewrapping will delete the lean burn system cleanly and safely. Installing HEI on a formerly lean-burn ignition equipped vehicle is ver easy. You can either use the fat wire that is the (+) to the old computer or the (+) wire for the coil as the feed for the HEI relay and you can use the coil (-) as the ground for the HEI module. Easy-peasy. |
