I use the red colored "High Temp" RTV... on both sides of the gasket... just along the outer edge.

Im seeking a reliable silicone sealant to stop the oil that is leaking--out of the head gasket. Ive seen many listed and recommended but i prefer the -Slant 6 Forums -excellent input, advice, and direction. Any info appreciated. HAPPY MOTORING |

RTV sealent. Clean off the area between the head and block and then apply a very thin coating across the gap. |

Permatex,The Right Stuff is the best.I have British cars that dont leak because of it. |

Wurth RTV super silicone.. If that doesn't seal the leak.. It will never seal. |
