I have, here, an 1984 D150 with a slant in it. The distributor has no vacuum pod on it. I'm assuming the advance must be electric some how. Also I cannot find a vacuum diagram on the web for this distributor and engine combination. |

No vacuum advance distributor is part of Lean Burn system. Additional advance over mechanical was controlled by Lean Burn computer. Take a look at your carburetor for a ported vacuum tap, it sees vacuum above throttle plates, not manifold vacuum below throttle plates. Take a look at the Lean Burn removal article here for better understanding of your situation. |
