so i have a 76 motor in my valiant right now. blew it up. changing it out for a 65 motor. pretty sure the cranks are different. can i still use the same flywheel? |

As long as you use an annular spacer to center the large center hole flywheel on the smaller crank register... |

you wouldn't happen to know where to get said spacer would you? follow up question would be, how bad would it be if i just bolted the flywheel on there without it? the bolt holes are a nice tight fit on the bolts. there is no wiggle when its on there with the bolts loose. |

I would not run it that way. Even a slight off axis alignment will make for a nasty vibration. I do not know of anyone who makes this part, so going to a local machinist and asking for a custom one is the likely plan. I may have a spare small hub (stock) flywheel, but I am away on work travel for the whole next week. One from me or someone else might be the easiest path. Ping me around Nov 17 and I'll look.
