The Mopar engine manual gives lash at .028 int .032 exh. Ground on 104*centerline, recomended install centerline is 102*. The lobe seperation angle is tightened up on this cam to give more overlap (60*vs76*) compared to the small and big block cams with the same lobe Mopar sells. It has a very racy idle compared to the V-8s, especially in Charlie S's 170 motor. Someone posted a different spec for the lash recently. The Mopar manual may be a typo. A 'search' will find you the post and the other lash setting. Cecil |

Lash specs are 0.028" int and 0.032" exh, but I bet you could get away with a bit less (like 26/30). Start there and readjust later to see if less will work. Adv duration is 284 deg, and centerline is 108 or so - can't remember. Cheers, Lou |

My old DC book said .030 / .030 but that may be a little loose and noisy for you. .030 is a good starting point but I would try some tighter settings once its running. DD |

My old Mopar catalogs list it at .028" and .032", but I saw specs for it somewhere else that had it at .016" and .020". I run mine at the 28 and 32 numbers, but it is pretty noisy. I also degree'd mine in at 104* because that's where it ended up. I know that in my 232 motor it pulls from 3000-6000 like crazy with a 600 Holley, and at idle it sounds as bad as any big block at the track. |
