WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! I just receved my new Hyper-Pac intake from clifford today and almost peed on myself when i actually held it in my hands but then the initial excitement wore off and I began checking it and came up with a couple of questions. first question is will a 1 inch spacer work with this manifold because i need one to clear the linkage on my holley carb ,second question do i need to fabricate a brace from the intake to the block third question is should I put a devider inthe floor of the plenum or does it make any difference. Overall ,Im tickled to finally have my H-P but the casting finish is alittle less than expected but I can live with that cause I CAN FINALLY SAY IVE GOT A HYPER-PAC!!!
Damn,Ijust love new toys.

If you check back a ways, you will see some posts about this subject.

I have one, but haven't converted yet, there's a good amount of trial and error to this intake based on build up, usage and climate.

Good luck on your installation, let us know how it turns out and what build you planted it on....

I have done a search but I couldnt find anything about the use of a spacer. This engine(225) will be in a 60 valiant and will be street driven and autocrossed with a 3spd trans soon to be a 5 speed ,it will be a 3 season daily driver.Im not sure which cam ill use but in leaning towards the buildup that Dart 270 has in his 64.

If I remember right and from pics in the recent Mopar Muscle article, the hyperpak in a 60-62 A-body puts the carb over the fenderwell, and you'll need to cut a hole in your hood to make it fit with an air cleaner....

On my 76 Duster I have plenty of room for the intake, but I think I might have to clip one of the hood reinforcements to make even a 'low profile' open element tin fit....

somewhere around here I posted a couple of pics that showed how much longer the h-pak was going to be vs. stock super six intake, under the hood of my car....

good luck,

I have 2 hoods and planned on putting a functional scoop on one to clear the H-P, or just cut a hole like Steve Magnante's 62 Valiant.
Im also concerned about master cylinder clearence when I convert to disc brakes but I beleive it will all fit. Right now ive got the 170 out and and getting ready to detail the engine compartment and get the 225 ready to go in, I plan on posting pics soon.

When I was at Clifford we were working on the brace for that. Doug had sent us the prints and we were in the process of making something to go with the manifold to complete the package. As you know Jack passed away and new owners took over and I went on to other things. If you cannot get them to send you a print (they may have tosed it) ask Doug as I am sure he still has a print. YOu need one as the manifold is heavy.

Hope this helps.
