What works well to remove the 10-1/2 inch hub caps from the trucks and vans? I had no success with a paint can opener. I know of the special tools but which one works well for the least cost? |

Doesn't the screwdriver end of the lug wrench work? |

The OEM lug wrench was missing. Would #5216018 work ? These 10-1/2 inch caps don't leave enough room for a screw driver to work. |

If I can't find a tire iron, a flathead screwdriver has always worked for me. |

The only dedicated hubcap remover I have ever seen was for a VW Beetle. I would think a thin screwdriver would do the trick. Or maybe bonk it with a rawhide mallet? |

I have an old flat head screwdriver bent 90* at the tip that I keep in the trunk at all times. I also have a small piece of rubber I use under the pivot of the screwdriver to keep the wheels from getting dinged up. |

Came across a picture of this tool in Stockel - Auto Mechanic's Fundamentals. Here's one: ![]() It's a glorified screwdriver! |
