Looking to do an hei conversion on my 65, that I've once before converted points to mopar electronic ignition. I've seen a couple pictures of people gutting out an old mopar box and soldering the hei into the box to keep the stock look and use original plug.

Anyone have a wiring diagram to do this? Hoping I don't have to cut up too much wiring as I've already heat shrunk wiring a while back. Also is the uc-12 coil okay to keep or I need something else? I prefer to keep a normal coil vs the small funky hei one

The picture you posted is the 7 pin model. I've never dealt with that, as I prefer the 4 pin variety. They're just easier to find. As for the coil, I have read that the original Mopar coil will burn up with the HEI conversion but there are plenty of cannister type coils that will do the job.

Now many will tell you a relay is not needed, but mine wouldn't shut off until I added one. The engine just kept on running.

Hands down this is the best mod you can do for your slant!
