Do the 63-66 rear frame rails have the same width as 67-76 a bodies? I measured the outer width on ruster today at 38" to 38 1/2" I am interested in a four link system that is listed for 67-76 but I want to install it in a 64 ☺ Thanks, Greg |

Interesting, I had not seen that system. I believe frame rails are same for 62-66, and I know leaf mounts are the same. I would think the "67-up" designation is to fit floor pan, gas tank differences, which could be modified on your early car. I am leaning strongly toward the Street Lynx from RMS (Bill Reilly) for the 68 turbo Dart. RMS offers specific 62-66 kits, although I do not know what is the difference. I trust Bill to get the geometries and shocks right more than I trust QA1. Depending on options, Street Lynx ($2000) is also $400-900 less than QA1. Yes, more fab required for Street Lynx. It looks like it is lighter too. The QA1 system looks very complex. The handling guys I know (Mopax list) do not like the QA1 adjustable shocks and the Vikings used on the RMS (all double adj) are apparently better. https://www.reillymotorsports.com/store ... hp?cat=263 This is the system that is on the RMS Duster, which was the only old Mopar to go faster than my 64 Dart at the Carlisle AutoX this past summer, excepting the Hotchkis Challenger with huge ~100 treadwear tires. Interesting... I had considered adapting a GM B Body setup for the DeSoto but it looks to me like the RMS E body setup might work for me. The trick would be getting the load carrying spring rate right. Im ready to be done with endlessly experimenting with leafs. ....although I could see ending up endlessly experimenting with coilovers... |

I measured right close to the rear shock mount and got 38 1/2" and moved back to the spare tire bulge and got 37 5/8" hope that helps. Rick |

If all the mopax guys like the rms system, I am not opposed to it. If its lighter than that's grear as well. What might be the best spring rate to go with for one of these setups? Qa1. Offers 170, 200, and 220 pounds/inch. Thanks for those measurements Rick! Greg |

I am not sure there is consensus on the Street Lynx, but I know a bit of history about Bill and about QA1. Hard to say on spring rate. For leaf springs, 170 is likely too stiff unless you have really big tbars. For that coil suspension, the rate may not mean the same thing. Street Lynx is almost identical to stock leaf setup. No idea on QA1 but it looks heaver in the pics (many more parts). Lou |

There is Hardly any info about the street lynx System on RMS's website.  There is a pic but no prices etc. The QA1 system is available on Summit for cheaper than listed on Qa1's Site. I Might Have to call RMS About the Lynx system. Greg |
