Dear Folks, how do I have to understand the parts/casting numbers list in the article section concerning 225 crank PN 3830099 ? Does it mean this crank was forged in '76 and cast in '77 bearing the same PN (and casting #)?....and subsequently showing different bearing width? I know my Hemi and Max Wedge stuff, but here I have to rely on You. (slant six novice) Somebody out there willing to lend me a hand on this one? Thanks a lot in advanve Best Regards, Jens |

I don't understand the question. The part number would be used to order a crank. The forging number is going to be the number on the crank itself. The forged and cast cranks will not carry the same forging number. To me the table appears incorrect as the cranks are considerably different, not just in the bearing width. |

There were both forged and cast cranks in '76, so there could be '76 and'77 cast cranks with the same PN. |
