I just bought a set of rings from power seal. They the basic rings. The image I have attached, if you are holding the ring looking at #1, I have two different rings, one beveled and one rectangular. The paperwork that was in the box, showed a bevel for ring slot one and two. Which way do they go? I know the oil ring goes on the bottom.

Reputable-brand piston rings are not expensive. You may want to go and buy a set, rather than putting in all the effort and time to install these off-brand ones you bought from some who-knows company in Turkey.

If you go to the Hastings piston rings web site you can read good installation instructions. As much labor as it is to install rings I would get them from a trusted manufacturer. And be aware that if there is much taper to the bores the new rings will not live for long.

The engineering / thinking with the bevel, on the inner edge of a piston ring, is to allow the ring to slightly shift or "cock" as it moves up (or down) the cylinder.

Based on this, the location of the bevel changes, depending if is the first (compression) ring or the second (intermediate) ring.

In general, the inner bevel is on the top edge, when the ring is used in the first ring groove. (compression)

The inner bevel is on the bottom edge, when it is used in the second ring groove. ("scraper" ring)

High quality ring sets should have an instruction sheet & a dot or "TOP" marking(s) on the rings, to help with correct installation.

As a side note: Check your ring end gaps and "fit" the rings as needed for your application.

There is a dot on one of the rings. So will this go on the first groove facing up?

Also what do you mean by taper of the bore?

The dot is on the ring with the bevel, correct?

Cylinders wear more at the top so the bores wear tapered rather than straight. The rings will expand as they reach the top of a worn bore, but there is a limit to this. With excessive taper the rings will lose good contact at the top of the cylinders and you will lose compression and pass oil into the cylinder. If you have a substantial ring ridge you will have to rebore the cylinders to make them straight and round.
