Interesting stuff and timely that may save me a few bucks on my "free" IH truck project.

I'm about to deal with a GM fuel sending unit feeding an International Harvester gage. From what I have read, most all gages between manufacture have different resistances, and sending units also varying resistances as well as high resistance when empty / no resistance when full to no resistance when empty / high resistance when full.

I discovered there are several makes of sending unit to gage black boxes on the market that will mate any gage with any sending unit providing correct readings.
