I can't remember who, but someone used to make one for the Slant. Pretty sure modifying a V-8 one is a no-no. |

thanks , I don`t know how strict they are going to be , this is going to be the first full season for IHRA rules, if I read them right anything over 6.99et in the 1/8th you need both. |

Are they asking for SFI approved? I was able to make my own Kevlar flex shield and get it passed by my sactioning body. |

no sandy they haven`t asked but they did make me replace my belts because of exspired dates , I`m hoping to increase the blower drive and this hopefully put me into the 6.99ets which if I am reading the rules for super pro brackets I need flex plate and trans shields. I was thinking if I had a sb flex shield and made flat bar exstention if it could pass. |

Check out Tom Waters in Florida, That is who made my SFI approved metal flexplate shield for the slant six. Metal ones you get 5 years before recertification. Richard |

I have gotten SB SFI flexplates for the LA engine and modified them to fit the slant - They were sfi Approved when new - not sure now? Here's a blurb on what I did: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... &start=195 Greg |
