We tied my Duster together with 2 pieces of 2x2 box 41" long.
Whole process took less than an hour.

Mopar performance used to offer the bolt on kits to connect front to back sub-frames for better suspension "tightning". Is there a company that offer the weld on type of square tubing. Thanks again, Wayne in Chico |

Wayne, I believe Alston Chassis Works (search web), and many others make connectors. Pretty sure manciniracing.com has them too, bolt or weld in. I plan on making my own using straight 1.5X2.5 or 2X3 tubing with some gusset plates on the ends, as most of the Slant racers have done. Lou |

i think there is an article on this at www.bigblockdart.com pretty srtaightforward mod. really does a lot for the handling. weld in is definitely the way to go. -james |

Definatly weld in!!! its stronger because bolt in still has some "flex" to it, however if you cant weld, or if you cant get or have access to a welder, bolt in ones work great too! Justin |

i say if you can, make your own.i think my mopar ones are 1.5"x1.5" kind of small i think but it seems to work. i bought my set used for the longer wheel base dart and cut them down in the front and welded them in for my dartsport. id also say buy the bolt in ones and weld them in. the bolt in ones seem to be a bit heavier duty. just my 2 cents --chad |

I used 2x4 square tube for my subframe connectors. This is big enough to notch the tubing so it slides over the rear frame section. I also made a tab on the front end to lap over the front frame. This makes for lots of weld area. Since I remade the floor boards, I also welded 2x2 square tube from the subframe connectors to the door siles. These also serves as mount points for my front seats and potentially for a driveshaft loop. Needless to say, my car doesn't sag in the middle. |
