| Post subject: | Intake to exhaust manifold mounting bolts where to find? |
Does anybody know where I can get the intake to exhaust manifold? The are 5/16 x 3-1/4" long, x 18 threads per inch, roughly halfway threaded. I have found 3-1/2 and 3-1/4 bolts, but cannot find one with enough thread. Thanks for any input, Craig |

we have stores like bolt supply house and calgary fasteners in my area that specialize in bolts and the like, they would have what you need, im sure there is something similar near you |

Only bolts I've seen with threads all the way up were the lower grades. It's been a while since I've mucked with stock manifolds. Would all-thread work with a nut on top? Hardware store stuff has the tensile strength of cheese though, I'd get some grade 5 or 8 stuff. Or get the right length bolt and cut threads on it as needed with a die. Will be super slow going and murder on a die though especially with the hardened bolts. |

I have done this, but went to one of the specialty places and asked for a couple feet of D-8 all thread, have not had a problem with it yet...still have a foot or so left over...I have also threaded bolts a bit farther when I have had access to a good set of threading dies.... |
