Hello, I have three things hanging me up with this fender tag on my 1975 Dodge Dart. Here is the fender tag data:

I do not know what the 852 means. Any ideas?

The 007 for the door frames shows up as unknown at this time. I can find 000 for full door panels (which I believe it has) but not 007. Anybody ever see this code?

And the 820 build date must mean August of 1974?

I have figured out the rest of the fender tag. I also have an inspection strip with this car. Is there anyway to decode that?

007: Probably meant to be 000 no door upper frames, so no upper frame paint. This would not be the first time "007" has shown up where "000" is logical. Possible typo or clown at the keyboard (James Bond...)

A few clarifications I know from the 1975-1980 realm (Dan still gets a cookie though for setting the curve in class.)

B43: Nonpower brakes - Disc Front/Drum Rear

C15: Quiet-car package (sound insulation)

This is the minimal package/ next step up from stock, compared to C17 which had package tray, floor, door, etc sound insulation in it.



M51: Sunroof w/vinyl top - This is listed as the power sunroof option and M52 is the manual sunroof option up to 1978.


L73: from 1975 to 1977 was the "Fuel Pacer" system , which is wired into the driver's side turn signal (typically shows on the driver's side fender mounted light)...if it's still functional it will "flicker" if you give it too much gas, and if you are still "into it", it will light solid until you let off to the proper level of 'pedal' then it will go out... (at one time I had heard this got calibrated to about 6-9" of vacuum...which is about where the power valve tips in on a Holley 1945...)

I have seen cars that had the equipment removed, and the drivers side fender light just stayed lit... much to the dismay of the owner who couldn't understand why and thought it was a short....

Yahbut, AFAIK there was nothing such as a power sunroof in an A-body. You got a wind-the-crank type or you got nothin' at all.
You're definitely right about that on this car; now I think of it all the '75s got the Fasten Belts dashboard light.

Yep, makes me think maybe James Bond mixed up a 51 for a 52...
Love that little red lit sign that accompanies the usual 'buzz' until you fasten the seatbelt...typically next to the dead EGR sign because someone removed the EGR timer and stuff.

The James Bond typo for the Sunroof was me. I typed the M51 but I should have typed H51 which is single air w/heat. That was my mistake. Yes, it has an operating fuel pacer system. Was power steering stock on a '75 Dart? Mine has that and I do not see it as an option. Also, the Dart still has the ever popular seat belt interlock system. I thought that had met its demise in 1974. Thank you both for your help.
