| Post subject: | Early to late 904 Shift Linkage Change |
I have a 1965 Dart with the original column cable shift 904 transmission.I want to change over to a later model 904 with mechanical shift linkage and the slip yoke output shaft.Can anyone shed some light on any conversion linkage that may help make this change? |

1966 Dart parts. Steering column, shift linkage, transmission and drive shaft. Hopefully the steering column wiring is the same. The turn signal switch interchanges, but I'm not certain all the wires are in the same place. Probably, but check. |

Will have to rewire the neutral safety switch, and backup light circuits, if using a trans newer then 1967. Then there is also the problem of the large converter pilot and the small crank pocket, with the later trans. So the simple solution is use a 66 or 67 trans. |
