Once again Charlie and your wife,I thank you from the bottom of my slant, yall are good people.

Mark,
I feel, thats what it takes, to help build the "slant six racing" community. If we all help each other, it makes it enjoyable for all. I do not do it for the money. Heck, even if I won the slant six race and the regular bracket race, I might just break even, and I haven't won any yet.
Thank you for your help, getting me that transmission brace, so I could remove my turbo setup, and race on sunday.
I still haven't found the one I thought i brought with me. It has to be in the RV somewhere.
See you at Clay City.

Did you just say you removed your turbo to race? Anyone find that a bit odd? ;)

I have not used the turbo motor since about 1985. When I broke a motor at Reynolds Ga. I only had 1 1/2 weeks to put together my turbo motor, to make Bristol ( the only motor I had enough parts for). Just got it running and checked out 1/2 hr before leaving. Fri nite the motor did not run right, so I removed the turbo, during the rainout on Sat. Installed my regular manifold, carb and nitrous system, so I could mke a run on motor alone, to check it out. Motor was OK. But with only two time shots on sunday, I decided to run on just motor. Problem with turbo, seems to be in the carb.

Post subject:  Charrlie and all...

Pierre,
You must not have met Charrlie yet. He really gets with it when it comes to racing. He doesn't mess around. If something doesn't work to his liking he'd probably rebuild it right there in the pits if he had the stuff to do it. :D

Slanted Attitude,
I couldn't agree more about Charrlie and Peg's willingness to help others. When I was having problems with my wiring Charrlie had me call him on the phone and he walked me through the wiring on my car to get it running.
Everyone I have met in this Slanted Family is just that,... Family!

Rob
