Ok, so I am cleaning up a slant head from a 73 Duster. As I am working on it, I notice a stiff metal rod/wire in the water jacket. It looks like a section of a coat hanger wire. I just saw the tip of it in the thermostat pocket and was amazed when I pulled out something that was over a foot long. I thought that was weird but just something odd someone did in the past, for reasons unknown. As I am cleaning more, I noticed more 'wires'. I had to pull these out through the water jacket opening in the center of the head. In all, I pulled 5 wires out of the water jacket, all over a foot long. Weird. Has anyone else ever seen this? |
