s there supposed to be any "slop" in the cam timing gear on a Slant? I'm adding a double roller gear set. I set the gear in the cam dowel and went to line it up and realized there's a fair amount of wiggle room with bolt and the washer as to where the gear actually sits. I've never done this before, so maybe this is a "duh" answer, but I didn't see anything about it when I looked it up in the manuals or online. Just want to make sure I'm not forgetting something important. I carefully labeled everything when I disassembled it, and this is the only bolt and washer in the "timing gear" bag, and they do fit the cam, but I've made plenty dumber mistakes before. Thanks! |

That big round recess in the cam gear? The cam fits snugly in there when the bolt is tight. |

Thanks. I'm an idiot and the cam was too far in the motor. Doh! |
