Well as luck would have it, I called NAPA and they were able to order me a MO3000 rotor, you know the one with the long tip. $7. I showed up, I briefly looked at it just to see if the tip was long. Then left. Got home, looked at it close and the damn Tip is completely loose from the rivet, literally shaking around, detached from the center piece. So called them and re ordered another one. Wow. Will report back if this one is any good. has anyone had this happen before? |

Yep, ever since I've been buying rotors. No big deal. If you want the fast fix, briefly clamp the rotor in a vise (or with a Vise-Grips) so the two jaws squeeze the head of the rivet and the underside of the rotor. If you want the permanent fix, use a mini screwdriver to prise the rivet up, apply a bit of Loctite, then do the vise squeeze and leave the rotor sit overnight or so before you put it in service. |

well they ordered me another and it was fine so I swapped it out. Maybe I have found a supplier that actually has some of these in stock.? |

Specifically Loctite Super Glue? (ie not Loctite threadlocker products). Doing this exact step right now. |

I use threadlocker; I never had much luck using stuper glue for anything, but it'll probably work for this. |

Went to the Loctite site and found this for the threadlocker: "Recommended For Use on metal fasteners up to 1" (25 mm) in diameter such as bolts on decks, ready-to-assemble furniture, mounts, rings, gear bolts and frame bolts Not Recommended For Use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials Use on plastic parts, particularly thermoplastic materials where stress cracking of the plastic could result" Went to Loctite Super Glue site and found it recommended it for plastics. |

Sure, but we're neither screwing nor unscrewing anything into or out of the plastic rotor, so stress cracking never gets a chance to happen. It's an "off label" use of Loctite; worked for me. Anyhow, let us know how the super glue works out. |
