I started a build thread on this car last Fall but I abandoned it for spending more time in the garage and less time on the computron. I have done a few top to bottom builds in my time but this one was a doozy. The two door hardtop conversion was challenging since the donor car has the longer wheelbase, so steel boxes needed to be fabbed and welded into the rear wheel wells to allow the rear windows to roll down all the way. lower quarters and the bottom half of the gate needed to be hand shaped and welded in place. Rockers were also fairly hammered and needed replacing. After all of this tin work the bondo work began and went on and on until my arms were ready to fall off. I then turned over the car to a local body shop since it became too nice for me to paint at this stage. The shop then proceeded to do two more weeks of smoothing and flattening. The two tone paint turned out amazing. I'll take more photos once I can roll it out into the yard. I'm currently starting a disc brake conversion, then onto the interior, followed by fuel injection. Many questions will be asked.

WOW! VERY nice work. You definitely get a gold star.

Seriously, that is a beautiful custom job making a two door wagon. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

Nice project. That's a lottah work.

Just what is that black GM product sharing the garage? I'm not fluent in Parisienne. For those of you that live distant from our neighbors to the north, Parisienne marquis is a confusing mixture of Pontiac and Chevy DNA that boggles my mind.

Haha, a lottah work doesn't even begin to describe it. I get pretty obsessed with my projects sometimes and this one really snowballed on me. The Poncho in the background is a six three and I've had it over 20 years. All the bling of a high end Pontiac but sitting on an X-frame with all Chevy brakes, suspension and running gear. It's actually a win/win.
