I run a dual 1bbl and have enjoyed it very much. Without going into detail, I started with a carefully rebuilt aluminum block and found a matching pair of NOS Holley 1920 carbs. I tinkered around with jetting and auto-choke options and now have a very reliable daily driver. The mileage has dipped (12 mpg in all city driving) and I worry sometimes that I have complicated what should be a very simple arrangement. But it is rock solid after over three years of light duty (and looks great!) I love the equal runner length of the dual intake, but would swap back in a heartbeat if the set-up proved more troublesome. My truck runs a single Holley 2300 with a hogged out Super Six intake - another (simpler) winner! |

I have a setup, I adapted it to fit two carter/weber progressive 2bbls. Not on the truck yet, truck currently has offy 4bbl manifold and 400 cfm carter afb. That small 4bbl was immensely better than the stock 1bbl both in power and mileage. The carter 4bbl is so much better than the holley 390cfm as adjustments do NOT require disassembling the carb. |
