My uncle heard about my Duster and bought me a BBD off ebay, okay. Unfortunately it's supposed to be for a 4.0 jeep and I don't really trust it. I've not had bad experience with Chinese clone carburetors so far but i'm always suspicious.

I've tried searching around and can't find the specific information that i'm looking for.

Can this throttle shaft be rigged up to work with the kickdown or is it in any way replaceable with an assembly that was meant for a 225?
Right now the application is to just move the car around the yard until i can gather more parts.
Do i even need the kickdown if i'm not going to be traveling for more than 30 feet?

You could probably get that to work if you were creative with some hardware and a drill. I suggest dumping the mechanical kickdown altogether and going to a cable style kickdown. A la HERE. The cable style kickdowns are much more adaptable than the sock mechanical linkage.

And no, for short bursts of movement like 30 feet a kickdown linkage is not critical.

Thanks, i've been wanting to do a cable setup for a while but it looks like the lokar kit needs extra parts for it to work properly.
