So it seems repairing my daughters, and wife's cars comes way before building engines, and cool hotrod stuff. Somehow while cleaning up after a timing belt/cylinder head repair on my daughters car I have managed to throw out the head bolts for my slant I am slowly building. I have searched high and low, and that is the only conclusion I can come to. Of course I discover this just as I am going to install my nice freshly rebuilt head. Once again the project grinds to a standstill. So my question is this. Can these be purchased? Is there a part number? Or am I looking for a used set (most likely)? I see I can buy ARP head studs, but being a Canadian I get the pleasure of paying approx. $150 for them. Plus driving 1 1/2 hours to North Dakota border to get them. Freight to my door would be atrocious. If new is not an option would anyone have a set they would sell me?

I bet we can scrounge up a cheap used set from a board member. Sandy in BC might have a set? Make a post in the parts wanted section. I just sent a box to BC for $60. Maybe cheaper for a small box like that.

shipping in Canada is not bad but don`t use UPS to bring anything over the borer. there brokerage fees are crazy. fedex or USPS are more reasonable.

Looks like USPS will do shipping for about $30. I'll look for a spare full set of head bolts...

Good to see.
You never know till you find stuff, just what someone might have.

I have several sets of fasteners from all mopar motors, except the 4 bangers, and would think most, if not all, of these would work in other American brands.
I would expect the opposite to be the same. They are, after all, just bolts, no?

I would have gone to a junk yard, second.
A hardware store would have been my first choice.
Am I wrong in thinking the right size grade "8" bolts would work?
Or is cost the major issue here?
