| Post subject: | What size brake shoes on rear of 70 Dart? |
I have a 1970 Dart with what looks to be the 7 1/4 rear end. The parts dealer says there are two different brake sizes that could be on this car. How do I make sure which it is? Thanks. |

Take a wheel off and measure the drum. If it is not a disc brake car it will probably have 9" drums. Disc brake should have 10". |

If you don't have a measuring tool handy, look at the "MAX DIA." number cast into the outer edge of the rear drum. It should be 9 or 10. That is the size of the drums brakes and the size of the shoes you need. |
