Nice! Let me know how it goes and how you fabricate seat rail mounts. I still need to finish the installation of the Sebring seats in my brother's Duster. |

will do,, and for reference, here is information for wiring... I found it to be spot on. http://www.corvairkid.com/sebring.htm and this maybe helpful, when I pre-wired and powered the seats, to check things out prior to starting the actual install, found the drivers seat power moved and the driver seat belt released as it should but the passenger seat belt did not release. I did a quick internet search for Sebring seat belt issues and a common answer was that if both seat belts do not release the cause is likely to be a faulty seat belt control module, however if only one belt does not release the issue is probably with that seat belt's internal solenoid, and there seems to be no new replacement part availability. I went back and checked the voltage at the passenger side seat wiring connection, got 11.5 v,, a little drop from the fully charged 68 Barracuda battery, but should be enough to fire a solenoid, and the drivers side system was working,, but maybe the passenger side solenoid was just stuck from sitting??? So I hooked up a battery charger to the battery, set it to high, 10 amps and re checked the v at the passenger seat, got 14+ v,, pulled the seat belt and the solenoid had released. Powered and un-powered the seats a few times to get the solenoid working and now the passenger side solenoid will release at the same 11.5 v that the drives side works at. For me that was a good find. ![]() |
