Post subject:	Adding 4 way emergency flashers to 66 dart help
Ok since I had my first car breakdown in the middle of the road, I realized how nice it would be to have emergency flashers instead of me standing outside of the car waving my hands in the air to go around me. 66 dart 270. Ok so I found a harness that will plug into my exisiting harness. Then I found a switch from a 68 that I thought would work, but I am having problems figuring out how to wire it in. The correct switch for my 66 apparently is some non sense rare collectible and guys want $100 for it. funk that. the switch from the 68 ($10) has the 4 terminals on the back but doesn't have the same spacing, no offset terminal. I tested the switch and if the switch is off, no continuity on any terminals. If switch is on, all terminals are showing continuity with each other. Is this correct??? I am hesitant to install it and try it out for fear of melting my harness. help?? btw on the harness terminals to the switch I have a black wire, white wire, brown wire and green wire. the black wire then goes to the flasher which then goes to an inline fuse befor it goes to the fuse box (piggy back)
