Another question,

I replaced the gaskets around the spark plugs, great, no more leakage. I replaced the valve cover gasket, no more leakage, great.
BUT... there is still some leakeage around the bolts at the valve cover casket. Do you guyes have any tips. Summer is coming and today was our first trip through the Dutch countryside, fantastic, But unfortunately the car is leaving oil drips like its a cat in spring leaving marks...
second of all the oil on the hot engine starts to smell after a while.

Remove the valve cover and inspect the gasket for tears. Then inspect the valve cover to make sure that the cover itself has not deformed around the bolt holes from overtightneing. Makes sure the cover around the holes is flat, and then reinstall the cover with an undamaged gaset and do not overtighten the bolts.

I agree with Reed. When I re-install a valve cover, I use a ball-peen hammer with another hammer to flatten out the area around the bolts. I hold the ball side of the first hammer in the bolt hole and then hit the other side of the hammer with the second hammer to remove the defotmity around the hole. The metal always gets stretched out there from over-tightening. Get those areas flat again and it shouldn't leak.
