I'm rebuilding a Stromberg WW 3-272 for installation on my 225 slant-6 (auto) and have a few questions. 1. What jet size is appropriate for my engine? Stock, with a 6-1 header. 2. What's the formula/process for selecting Jets and power-valve? 3. Are any parts interchangeable with the 97 (which are still being produced)? 4. Any performance/tuning tips? Thanks all! -Chris |

Stock jet and power valve in your WW3-272 ('67 318) will work just fine on your 225, assuming you're within reasonable sight of sea level. If you live way up high on a mountain, you might have to jet down, but a stock-jet, stock-powervalve WW very similar to yours ran very well on my '65 225 when I lived at 5500 feet. The 97 inlet needle/seat might interchange with the WW unit, but (1) I don't think so, and (2) it doesn't matter because new WW needle/seat assemblies are readily available; no other 97 parts work in the WW. |
