Hello-for my tune-up - i located NGK # ZFR5N plugs--the spark plug tube seal O rings-the standard-bluestreak CH-410X distributor cap (its blue) and the echlin long-tip rotor # MO-3000 at napa. .....(as per SlantSixDan.) My question now is-Are there any preferred points and condenser parts i should order? from where? and then on to my tuning project. All info greatly appreciated! HAPPY MOTORING |

Ugh, points and condenser...perpetual pain in the nuts. Make plans to do the HEI upgrade, which will pay back your money, time, and effort many times over, very quickly. In the meantime, it's grown very difficult to get good-quality points any more. See if you can get a NAPA Echlin CS-851. Condenser Echlin AL-869. Don't accept parts with suffixes (CS-851SB, CS-851P, AL-869SB, etc). Cap and rotor info you found in that other thread is obsolete in ways that matter enough to squawk about; see here (long thread, worth reading the whole thing). I'll go update the thread you found, thanks for the reminder. |
