hello,

on this '87 motor there is no signs on any engine manufacturing or assembly stamping ID on the pad on the head face plane.
there are numbers stamped into the front face of the block, just below the head face.

most of the stamping is unlegible due to exterior corrosion, the stamping looks like:
7K 22 ------
09---8
081
and a sideways 4

Looks like an '87 engine built at Kokomo to me.

I know that Chrysler has a manufacturing presence in Kokomo IN

the Chrysler aluminum foundry is billed as the worlds largest die cast plant.

And they assemble a lot of transmissions in near by Tipton IN,

I did not know that they also assembled engines there.
