I am new here at slant 6 forums. Have looked around a few times. I just got a 1985 truck with a slant 6. I will have to do a tune up and want to know what plugs,wires and distributor cap and rotor button i need and if it has points? If has points i dont know anything about them so would like some info please? Would i be ok with just the distributor cap or think i need the whole thing? Truck does not run and he said needs a tune up. Money wise would i be better off ordering online? thanks |

Should not have points. Before ordering all these parts , crank it over see if it has spark . Does it say lean burn on the air cleaner? I'm a little Leary on someone selling a vehicle that doesn't run , saying it just needs a tune up. Why didn't they tune it up and ask more money? |
