Hello all! I recently bought a 225 for my 64 valiant and am having trouble finding out what year and model the motor came from. I'm new to the slant 6 world and any help would be greatly appreciated! There is a stamp above the water pump that reads: 4K225 8295 1 107332 231 Under the freeze plugs has: 330-3 3 28 84 |

That's a 1984-model engine, built on 13 April 1984. You'll need to use the oil pan and pickup from a '62-'66 A-body Slant-6, and if your Valiant has an automatic transmission you'll need a 1/8" spacer ring to adapt the '68-up large crankshaft counterbore to the '67-down small-nose torque converter. |

If you need the adapter ring, PM me. I sell the rings.
