reinstalling my intake/exhaust manifold as per the method explained here on this site.
Just want to be 100% clear on which way the triangular washers face; does the tapered hole go on the stud facing the block, or away from the engine? Looking at my photos before I pulled the engine apart mine had the domed part facing the engine, and the raised "dished" part facing the end of the stud with a regular washer holding it on.
I'm a bit confused; can someone clear up the hardware installation details for me? I've read the shop manual but I want to be 100% right.

The tapered hole side of the washer faces the block, the "dome" faces to the manifold and the nut. (The dome makes the contact surface for the nut to spread the
load against the manifold... if it were reversed the nut and washer would do their job correctly...)

Hope that helps.
