Now I know why Dodge changed the design of the parking/turn signal bezels in the grill for '68 onward - it is really hard to get my fingers along with the 1157 bulb in that bezel at the same time. Maybe I just have big hands (not really) but it should not be that hard to install a light bulb. I can get them out very easily, but putting them in is hard. I can push them in but it's very hard to turn them while keeping pressure on them. Coming out I only need to turn, the spring pushes the bulb out. Going in I have to do both... the '68 and '69 bulbs go straight in and out, not at that shallow angle like the '67 bezel.

I got so frustrated the other day, trying to put my parking light bulbs in, I considered fabricating bulbs that have remote sockets, so I can easily install the sockets, and then just put the LED board in afterwards. Like these Harley units.

Yup, a little tight in parking light. I have Trump hands, and still have struggled getting those bulbs seated. A little dab of dielectric grease on bulb base helps, but don't get any on the glass its way too slippery.

Another thing, and this sounds stupid, make sure the uneven pegs are headed for the right slot in socket. Don't ask, I'm a numb ass at times.

WJAJR, I know what you talking about, I've done the wrong peg in the wrong slot a few times...

Thanks, I feel better about my self now.

How that happens in my brain is "peg shorter distance from base of bulb must go into slot with shorter length...." which of course is completely the opposite of what is needed. That peg goes further into the socket, so should be inserted to into the longer/deeper slot in the socket. I actually was surprised the first time I did that wrong, because I'm particularly good at visuals and 3D relationships. Still, I've done it more than once. There's something deceptively easy about that (incorrect) line of reasoning above.
