Local sheet metal guy (good dude, but busy with his day job) designed and built this shroud (first one) for my stock 19" radiator in the '61 Lancer with auto trans cooler in the stock radiator.

My fan is 17" (I think the original steel fan is 16", so stock fan will work, too.)

Mounts to the 4 radiator bolts. Top and bottom straps make for easy removal.

Dramatically increased air flow through my A/C condenser and radiator.

Lowered hot day (heat index 100+) post-highway/idle-in-traffic engine temp by 6-10 degrees

Thats a nice design. I was just in a sheet metal shop today and they can do some nice things with that metal. Mostly duct work but I saw a few Pinatas!

I would advise putting some foam or tape on the edge that faces the reservoir tank... after the assembly
settles in the edge might contact the copper reservoir tank or edges of the fins... the galvanized iron is
harder than copper and can wear on it... also galvanizing is zinc and that doesn't play well with copper
either and will rot it away after a time.

Before I read this today, I'd already split a piece of vac hose and insulated that top edge thinking vibration could eventually cause wear.
