Hi All I have a 1966 vc valiant and was wondering if anyone has a CAD file for the K member. I want to do a FEA analysis on it with rack and pinion steering brackets grafted on it . ? Cheers....Rob |

Finite Element A? Analysis I think the A is for Analysis, so you really only need to say is FEA, not FEA analysis. |

3D modeling software like Solidworks allows you to do stress analysis simulations if you have that as an add-on to the package. It's a worldwide standard for design software that engineers use to design and test or evaluate parts before they actually make them. |

So I shouldn't Xerox a copy?

I doubt anyone has one of those.. Based on the lack of response etc. Best bet would be to find an old drafted copy if possible etc and Model one from there. I think that Putting a Rack on most of the old k Frames with 1/4" Plate would be fine. Remember that the Old Box and Idler arm was there with thinner metal so I would be confident in the retrofit.
