Hi everyone, I currently own a 1983 dodge ram van b150 equipped with a slant six. I am looking to swap the slant six with a 318. My question is will a 318 in the same era bolt up too the tranny that is currently coupled with the slant six... Thank you |

No different bolt pattern. |

You will also need different exhaust and likely a larger radiator. Don't forget the different throttle linkage as well. |

And different engine mounts, some wiring changes, fan shroud most likely,air cleaner assemebly, kickdown linkage, and so forth. In the end it's your vehicle, but I went down this road before and it's money ahead to jsut rebuild the slant over being nickle and dimed to death. |
