Has anybody run stock bore/pistons with oversize valves? Wasn't sure if anything would clear the stock cylinder bore. Just seeing what I could get by with for a cheap fun slap together engine.

1.70/1.44 valve sizes were set up specifically for stock bore. Going bigger would require a small bore notch, and will probably not help flow anyway due to shrouding. We missed you at Wilkesboro this past weekend, and had fun hanging with your buddy John Guthrie. Fun remembering your rookie of the year performance with the arm hanging out the window of your Duster!

All the best,

Lou

Thanks for the info Lou!

That is great news because I already have a head and some 1.70/1.44 valves that need to be installed. Glad y'all had fun. Maybe one day I will be able to race again. Too many financial issues at the moment but maybe soon I will get past that. As for, John he really has gotten the bug to do some more slant racing. I kinda miss that 'ol Duster at times but I'm really having too much with a '65 Dart and a sawzall

Regards
M

Slow and steady... Enjoy things as you can and we'll hope to see you when you are settled again.

Cheers,

Lou
