Just bought one of these from OCPNW, I am doing a HEI conversion to a 100% stock 64 dart. When it arrives I will inspect and relube it. Do I want to keep the springs the same or is there a different recommendation from someone? Car will remain stock other than HEI for a bit while I work on things like the old front end, brakes and bad rear springs (pretty sure the list will keep going on a bit). Thanks for the help Brandon |

Yep that one will work fine, start at 5 BTDC static setting and work up to 8 BTDC when setting the distributor up the first time....You may need to pull the vacuum advance and replace with a Standard VC-239...if it pings on the highway... Listen to what DusterIdiot says about distributors. |

Thanks for the reply, I had done a search but must have missed that post (did find some other info though). Brandon |

I don't recall which springs I used but I got them from BIGSLANTFCAN on here. I think that's the right screen name. The recurve and HEI really made a seat of the pants difference in my cars performance. |
